General Survey of Synthetic Oil Production in Germany. Dr. Butefisch was asked in the first place to give an outline of the production of synthetic oil in Germany. Dr. Butefisch referred to the start of production in 1927 at Leuna with an output of 300,000 tons per annum at first, subsequently increased to 500,000.
